The ideal patient is an individual experiencing treatment-resistant depression who has not achieved sufficient improvement with traditional treatment approaches such as multiple antidepressant trials or psychotherapy. These patients often present with persistent depressive symptoms that have significantly impacted their quality of life, functioning, and relationships. Many may also experience co-occurring anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, or chronic suicidal ideation. By the time they are referred for Ketamine or Spravato treatment, they have frequently spent years navigating different treatment options with limited success.
Our primary goal is to help reduce the severity of depressive symptoms, improve daily function, and decrease the intensity or frequency of suicidal thoughts if present. Ketamine and Spravato treatments may help alleviate symptoms that have remained resistant to prior interventions and allow for greater stability and engagement in the patient's life.
My specialty includes integrating Ketamine and Spravato treatments into a broader mental health care plan. This can include coordinating with therapists, primary care providers, and other members of the patient’s care team to help support long-term stability and recovery.
