Welcome! Since becoming a registered nurse in 1985, I’ve had the opportunity to work in healthcare settings including critical care, hospice and behavioral health. In 2001, I graduated from Northeastern University with my MSN and became Board Certified and licensed to practice as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. I love what I do and feel fortunate to have deepened my psychotherapy and medication management skills working with some excellent mentors over the years. While I'm proud of my practice as a whole, psychotherapy is what I love the most about my work.
The primary goal of choosing a treatment with my patient (not for them) is to help achieve complete remission of symptoms with few, if any, side effects. My extensive experience with both psychotherapy and medication management across the span of age and diagnosis, gives me the expertise to provide care based on the needs and comfort level of each patient.
I specialize in the treatment of people who suffer from the painful effects of trauma. I believe that trauma is the root cause of most types of mental illness. Over the years I have developed many therapeutic tools and med- management techniques and I feel truly honored to share what Ive learned. My work is only meaningful to me if it is healing for you.
