I also carry my own story. I’m a cancer survivor, and during my treatment, I experienced the unimaginable loss of my 20-year-old son, an Airman. I share this not to focus on my pain, but to let you know that I understand what it feels like to carry grief, to feel overwhelmed, and to still show up. That perspective shapes the way I show up for my patients.
