I enjoy talking with people about their lives and challenges, and helping them to decrease distress, regardless of diagnosis. I take a collaborative approach to diagnosis and treatment. I want my patients to feel empowered to take control of their lives and their mental health.
I have been a practicing nurse for 25+ years now, and I consider myself a nurse first and foremost. That means that I treat the whole patient, and I seek to understand the whole picture of how they live their lives, what their strengths and limitations are, and how even small changes can bring positive results.
