Hi I’m Liz I’m a board-certified physician assistant at Axis Psychiatry where I provide comprehensive psychiatric services including diagnostic evaluations, medication management, I do not offer any type of therapy (referral can be given). I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a strong focus in psychiatry. Due to my MSW degree from the University of Michigan I have a foundation in both medical and behavioral health. I take a holistic, patient-centered approach to care. I’m dedicated to building relationships and empowering patients through evidence-based treatment and support. I have 10 years of mental health experience.

I use a multi modal approach in the way that I provide medication management in psychiatry. I first begin by doing a dynamic- psychosocial evaluation of the patient so that I can get a holistic approach to the different corners of the person’s life along with a good picture of how the mental illness impacts each sector of that person’s life.

After the evaluation we go into detail about how med management would fit into this person‘s life. At this point in the conversation, the patient and I would be selecting a few medication’s and going through their side effect profile, and benefits of meds, to decide as a collective, the one we would like to try. The goal being try one for 2-4 weeks

What you can expect for our first session together is a full psychosocial evaluation to assess as a team the plan of action. The second step is deciding if medication management is necessary than what medication choices we have together. We would talk through our choices and follow up in 2 weeks. Monthly 15/20 min sessions to follow med management. Patients do need a therapist
