Oftentimes stress can be an underlying cause of weight gain and vice versa. It encouraged me to bridge the gap by focusing on psychotherapy and medication management. While I am qualified to prescribe medications as a mental health nurse practitioner, I firmly believe that psychotherapy should be the first line of treatment for mental health disorders. With compassionate advice and evidence-based psychotherapy, patients can develop coping strategies to counter everyday stressors.

I use an empathetic approach to foster a collaborative patient-provider relationship to help individuals overcome limiting beliefs, adopt an active lifestyle, and live mindfully.
