I have extensive experience in sophisticated psychiatric evaluation and treatment in my private practice and am double board certified in general psychiatry and addiction psychiatry. I help my patients with problems such as mood disorders, anxiety, eating issues, ADHD and substance abuse. I am a graduate of Barnard Colllege at Columbia University and New York Medical College for my MD degree. I treat patients with state of the art medication and practical, effective psychotherapy including psychodynamic, CBT, motivational therapy and harm reduction approaches as well as abstinence goals.
I specialize in cutting edge psychopharmacology and psychotherapy treatment for all psychiatric illnesses including all types of addiction problems. I include buprenorphine in my treatment approaches. I was on the faculty for many years at the Rockefeller University and Weill Cornell Medical Center. I often collaborate closely with other practitioners.
I have helped hundreds of patients over the years with medication and/or psychotherapy to have more stable and fulfilling lives. I make myself very available to my patients and try to be flexible and creative regarding all aspects of treatment.
