In 2010, I had a serious depressive episode; it so affected me that I changed my career path. The cause of mental illness is not yet fully understood. It is thought that both biology and stress can contribute to the development of mental illness symptoms. I have been told my greatest strength is my ability to listen and hear what is being said.
I have been a prescribing provider since 1996 and have a wealth of knowledge in many different areas of mental health. As a certified nurse midwife and psychiatric nurse practitioner, I’m equipped to assist women who are suffering with anxiety and depression during pregnancy, as well as those suffering from postpartum issues.
I’m here to provide validation and offer treatment options. I am also certified to credential a client with post-traumatic stress disorder so they can access medical cannabis.
