About
Why is it so hard to find a psychiatrist who accepts Medicaid? That's a question I can't answer, but it's not a problem I can't solve. I work with adults with mood disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety/trauma-related disorders, and substance use disorders. I am a part-time law student and am especially interested in working with Detroiters who have had ties to the criminal injustice system (including all forms of state violence -- police brutality, incarceration, probation/parole). I identify as queer and my practice will always be safe and affirming for LGBTQ+ folx.
I offer diagnostic evaluation and medication management. I am happy to collaborate with your current therapist (if you have one).
Currently my practice is telehealth only, but I anticipate opening brick-and-mortar clinic in Detroit this summer, so local residents will be given priority. To request an appointment, please go to www.uncagedmindsdetroit.com.
