I am currently accepting new clients and am qualified to treat the full spectrum of psychiatric disorders. In my 20+ years as a Board Certified adult psychiatrist, I have been dedicated to compassionate, respectful psychiatric care. At Columbia University, in Manhattan, where I served my post-doctoral residency, we were taught to thoroughly evaluate each patient through psychological, medical, and psychiatric assessment. Therefore, my goal is to provide a setting where all clients are allowed to comfortably communicate to me their current needs. With our continued dialogue, we can arrive at multiple treatment options. My ultimate goal is for each client to experience complete recovery.

Since anxiety, depression, insomnia, attention deficit disorder, and PTSD are common, I have extensive knowledge in these areas. My training at Columbia ensured that I would be as competent in counseling as in psychiatric medical evaluation. I also consider full medical work-ups when indicated.

I previously studied at the Mayo Clinic, where I learned to order and interpret genetic testing for patients who had not had success with past psychiatric medications. This knowledge, coupled with a complete history and current psycho-social-spiritual concerns, helps when choosing psychiatric medications that will be effective.
