As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP), I practice at the intersection of three often-siloed domains: the mind, the body, and the microbiome. My work is built on a foundational conviction that lasting mental health cannot be achieved by treating the brain in isolation, because the brain does not exist in isolation.
I draw on cognitive behavioral strategies, trauma-informed modalities, somatic interventions, and nervous system regulation techniques to help patients develop emotional resilience from the inside out. Medication, when appropriate, is prescribed thoughtfully and conservatively, always in the context of the whole picture.
