I am a board certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist who uses art and play to connect creatively with individuals. I believe in partnering with patients and families as well as taking a holistic approach to evaluating mental health.
I have experience with the myriad of psychiatric disorders but my passion is working with survivors of trauma, marginalized individuals and those struggling with identity and life’s transitions. I am able to incorporate techniques in art and play therapy to communicate nonverbally with children, teens and adults.
For Kids:
My favorite color is green but I love all the colors of the rainbow! I love bird watching, poetry and my favorite animal is a phoenix. I went to school to learn to help kids sort out their feelings. I like using art and play to be in their world. I do this with games, drawing and playing pretend.
My favorite toys are colored pencils, painting and playing with sand. I am a doctor so sometimes I give medicine that helps kids to feel better. I always talk to kids and parents about it so we decide together. I want to listen to what you have to say. Thanks for reading about me and I hope to see you in the future!
