Hello, I’m Carol Specter. As a board-certified nurse practitioner (ARNP/DNP) I offer a holistic approach to caring for children, adolescents, and adults. My focus is on treating people with a wide variety of mental health concerns including: Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Adjustment Disorders, and Psychosis. I am a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, having earned my doctorate in Nursing Practice from Seattle University’s Advanced Practice Nursing program. My doctoral research focused on supporting the mental health of transgender and nonbinary youth in the primary care setting. Prior to nursing school, I received a Masters degree in HIV and Community Health from Sonoma State University's Hutchins School of Liberal Studies. Additionally, I have experience coordinating with adolescent inpatient programs, Seattle Children’s Hospital clinics, school district special education programs (IEP/504), and ABA services.
