I am a fellowship-trained Child, Adolescent, and Adult psychiatrist whose practice consists of psychodynamic psychotherapy and medication management. My approach is relational and attachment-based. I specialize in issues related to anxiety, motivation, identity, early life experiences, relationships, separation, attachment, and transitions. I work with clients to to explore thoughts, feelings, desires, and motivations with dignity and curiosity; providing a path to better understand one's relationships to oneself, others, and the world. Taking time to explore one's inner world can be challenging, rewarding, surprising, and fun.
I have expertise in working with individuals of all ages and on a wide variety of mental and emotional difficulties. I employ therapeutic modalities that take into consideration a client’s age and development, including play therapy with children and psychodynamic psychotherapy with adolescents and adults.
As a psychiatrist, I offer expertise in prescribing psychiatric medications, in addition to talk and play therapy. I believe that judicious medication management (including starting, changing, or stopping medications) can be effective, especially when combined with thoughtful psychotherapeutic work.
