I am excited to address medication management and diagnostic clarification for patients with Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorders, OCD, ADHD, PTSD and others.

My experience as a nurse expends 20 years and includes nursing education and emergency room practice. My experience as a provider is 10 years and includes emergency medicine, family practice, geriatrics and practicing as a sexual assault nurse examiner for almost 18 years. My hobbies include cooking and traveling with family and friends. I am a dog lover and proud mother to 2 english bulldogs and 3 human children.

Dr. Chisty is trained in Adult psychiatry at University of Tennessee and one year fellowship in child psychiatry at University of South Florida. He specializes in various disorders like Ocd, Ptsd, Adhd, odd, gad, sad, bipolar disorder, depression ,anxiety, alcohol &drug addiction ,sexual addiction, adolescent psychiatry, etc. We know each individual is different and we customize treatment based on treatment response, family history, pharmacogenetics profiles and compatibility. We use Bio-psycho-social model for treatment using holistic approach

He takes a holistic, evidence-based approach in his practice, believing that medications are not always the answer, or at least the whole answer, and often chooses to recommend therapy, dietary changes, exercise, and lifestyle modification when indicated.

I specialize in psychiatric medication evaluation and management for children, adolescents and adults.I believe we must have a collaborative relationship working together to meet your treatment goals. This collaboration is achieved through honest communication about your symptoms of concern and medication effects. I do not believe medications are appropriate for everyone dealing with emotional, behavioral, and/or relational issues. I do believe that some form of therapy is critical for maintaining long-term benefits. In many situations therapy as well as medications provide the best outcomes. Working together, we will determine the best course of treatment for you.

My nursing career brought me the good fortune of traveling for work; I have lived in all four corners of the US (and in the middle, too!) and have enjoyed meeting and working with individuals of diverse backgrounds. As a nurse practitioner, curiosity and respect drive my practice; I join each person’s journey toward mental wellness with a collaborative treatment approach, taking time to “zoom out” and view symptoms through a holistic lens.

I want to help those suffering with ADHD, depression/anxiety, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, and other mental health issues. I want to truly listen to the needs of my patients and formulate an individualized plan to get you feeling better.
