Dr. Weiss believes in meeting people where they are and custom-tailoring a plan to meet their specific concerns. He works with each individual and their family members as well as other medical treatment providers to create a plan that meets their needs. For some, this may include medication management whereas others require psychotherapy and finally certain patients may do best with both.
We are big believers in well-coordinated holistic health. Having worked in Internal Medicine prior to undergoing psychiatric training, he understands how to look at symptoms through multiple lenses, and will coordinate with your other medical professionals as needed. This approach helps clients to stabilize physically and medically.
Dr. Weiss adds the component of his own personalized brand of psychotherapy (in select cases) in which he combines the traditional psychoanalytic psychodynamic approach with the newer techniques of interpersonal neurobiology, AEDP/DEEP treatment modalities and a member of Austin In Connection.
