Dr. Magavi strives to create a safe, comfortable atmosphere for patients and their families in their journey toward recovery. She has a holistic approach and integrates various treatment modalities (lifestyle changes, including mindfulness and meditation, pharmacological agents, as well as individual, couples and family therapy) to provide comprehensive, effective care.
She enjoys working with people of all ages with various concerns including but not limited to ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, postpartum illnesses, sleep disorders, and schizophrenia. She partners with her patients and individualizes treatment depending on each patient's unique life story and goals to maximize their quality of life.
Dr. Magavi, M.D. is a board-certified adult psychiatrist and board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist. She completed her adult psychiatry residency at Georgetown University Hospital. She subsequently completed her child psychiatry fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital where she served as chief fellow.
