Hey there! First, I'd like to say Congrats on taking a step towards mental wellness:) Good for you! I'm happy you're here and hope you allow me to assist you on this journey. I became a psychiatric RN in 2018, and learned a lot about myself and the patients I cared for on the unit. I loved this field of study so much that I subjected myself to more schooling and completed my Doctorate in 2023. Now, I am on a mission to provide personalized, competent care rooted in our shared human experience. I hope to make a major impact on the mental health community one day!
I can help with anxiety, personality disorders, etc. but my special interest is ADHD. I was diagnosed at 30, and had so many questions afterwards. How did I get overlooked for so long? What are the symptoms of ADHD no one talks about? What is the neuroscience behind ADHD? How has this unchecked ADHD affected me? I got my answers, I can give you answers too!
My commitment to care is shaped by my experience growing up in New Orleans. My innate Southern charm will have us comfortably chatting like old friends! I pride myself on my deep empathetic nature, which helps me to truly understand my clients. Some may call me a mind reader, but I'm not. I just LOVE this work and that makes me good at it :)
