About
Clients from age 3 through the younger adult are provided thorough psychiatric evaluations with appropriate academic and testing recommendations, referrals to numerous community resources, alternative/supplementary treatment modalities where appropriate, medication evaluation and management and referrals for appropriate therapeutic support(s). I utilize genomic testing when appropriate or upon request.
I focus upon individuals whose emotions or behavior impact their well being and those facing long term concerns or instability. A thorough assessment always addresses academic, emotional and behavioral success. Sensitive to concerns about medication, evaluation always seeks to define the conclusion of treatment from the very beginning of care.
Sound, natural approaches have value in psychiatric care. I include evidence-based alternatives (when safe and appropriate) so that medication can be used conservatively wherever possible. I utilize genomic testing to enhance outcomes. I hold to the same standards for my clients as I do my own family.
