I am a Columbia University-trained, board certified nurse practitioner treating clients from age five through adulthood. I am licensed in N.Y. and Ct. and provide thorough psychiatric evaluations with appropriate academic and testing recommendations, referrals to numerous community resources, alternative/supplementary treatment modalities where appropriate, medication evaluation/management and referrals for the right therapeutic support(s). I utilize genomic testing when appropriate or upon request. While I prefer in-person visits, telehealth and virtual appointments are also available.
I focus upon individuals whose emotions or behavior impact their well being and those facing long term concerns or instability. A thorough assessment always addresses emotional, behavioral, academic and career success. Sensitive to concerns about medication, evaluation always seeks to define the end goals of treatment from the very beginning of care.
Sound, natural approaches have value in psychiatric care. I include evidence-based alternatives (when safe and appropriate) so that medication can be used conservatively wherever possible. I utilize genomic testing to enhance outcomes. I hold to the same standards for my clients as I do my own family.
