Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, APRN, PMHNP, BC
Shortly after becoming a nurse in the early 90s, I began working with clients in need of Mental Health Services. Over the years I have held various positions; Staff Nurse to Administrative roles. I have found that I prefer patient care. I have a passion for helping those struggling with mental health issues. I have been a psychiatric nurse for over 25 years; have been practicing as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner since 2014. During that time I have worked in a variety of settings: inpatient, outpatient, community mental health, telepsychiatry and currently in private practice.

Mindfulness-Based (MBCT) Psychiatrists
For clients in Bowling Green with chronic pain, hypertension, heart disease, cancer, and other health issues such as anxiety and depression, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, or MBCT, is a two-part therapy that aims to reduce stress, manage pain, and embrace the freedom to respond to situations by choice. MCBT blends two disciplines--cognitive therapy and mindfulness. Mindfulness helps by reflecting on moments and thoughts without passing judgment. MBCT clients pay close attention to their feelings to reach an objective mindset, thus viewing and combating life's unpleasant occurrences.
