I treat those patients seeking medication assistance to improve their mental health needs. Patients suffering from anxiety disorders, depression disorders, sleep disorders, OCD, ADHD, PTSD may find it necessary to utilize medications to achieve complete mental wellness.
I am licensed not only as a Family Nurse Practitioner but also a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Since 2019, I have solely focused on medication management for those patients afflicted with mental health concerns. My focus is holistic and I consider all facets of a patient’s life which might affect mental health.
In my opinion, mental health is just as important, if not more so, than physical health. If a patient suffers from a mental health Illness, it is very likely they could neglect their physical health. If a patient suffers from a mental illness it is important that they place significance on actively seeking treatment to achieve mental wellness.
