Kristie Santana is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC APRN) with over 15 years of nursing experience. Kristie was raised in Key West, Florida and recently relocated to the Tampa area. As an RN, Kristie practiced in a variety of specialties, including family medicine, cardiology, orthopedics, urgent care and home health. She returned to what was always her favorite specialty in nursing school, psychiatry, in 2015 as an RN on a crisis stabilization unit.
At that facility, she transitioned from RN to nursing supervisor and then Director of Behavioral Health before pursuing her APRN with a master’s in psychiatric and mental health care at Walden University. Kristie brings a diverse nursing background to the field of psychiatry and is committed to treating each patient as an individual.
In her free time, Kristie enjoys spending time with her adult children, exercising for physical and mental health, and exploring nature trails with her dog.
