Prior to obtaining my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree, I practiced as a Certified Nurse Midwife in Alaska and Minneapolis. In addition to being a dually board-certified nurse practitioner, I hold two additional certifications in perinatal mental health and lactation. My focus has always been, and continues to be, on providing evidence-based, trauma-informed care centered on your needs. My areas of interest include mental health during the perinatal and perimenopause/menopause periods, and in LGBTQIA+ populations.
I utilize an evidence-based, trauma-informed, and holistic approach that promotes healing and health. This involves an ongoing, compassionate partnership which honors your own life experience, community, and autonomy.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, preferably on or near water, traveling, singing, reading, and playing board games with friends or just a quiet night at home with my family, including fur babies!
