My name is Kirsten Garza, and I am a PMHNP-BC. I treat a variety of conditions including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, and bipolar disorder. I follow Carl Rogers's approach and hold every patient in unconditional positive regard. I approach mental health holistically focusing on the physical, mental, and spiritual goals of each individual. I believe in collaborating with each patient to ensure they are comfortable with treatment plans and goals.
I have a very kind, nonjudgmental, and accepting attitude towards my patients. I like to understand my patient's cultures, beliefs, values, and mindsets so that I can approach care from the place they are and help them feel comfortable. I never want a patient to feel nervous, judged, or scolded, for being open and honest.
I like to collaborate with my patients and set goals together. I even collaborate with patients on medication changes, sometimes discussing multiple options and letting their comfort level help me make a final decision as their provider.
