Hello, my name is Kimberley Durr. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 8 years of experience. I specialize in treating mood disorders (i.e. depression and bipolar), anxiety, ADHD, and schizophrenia but have experience evaluating and providing medication management in other neurodevelopmental, eating, and substance use disorders. I offer a supportive, compassionate, and gentle approach to patient care and provide evidence-based guidance. I treat each person individually and holistically and will incorporate your life narratives and preferences when developing your treatment plan.
I became a nurse because I like helping those in need. Working in the mental health field can be challenging but it is rewarding and brings me great joy and satisfaction. I am determined to improve the lives of others. In our sessions, I hope that first, we can get to know each other, develop a relationship and start a dialogue about your goals.
In our first session, we will get to know each other and I'll gather your history and collateral information (when needed). I'll then develop a case formulation, provide psychoeducation, and offer medication if appropriate. In some cases, labs may also be ordered.
