Kim has been in the field of nursing for 37 years with the last 26 years focused on her practice as a Nurse Practitioner. She is also a Professor at Sage College in Troy for the last eight years teaching Graduate Nurse Practitioner students. She has been a pioneer in integrative psychiatry in a multitude of outpatient settings for the last 15 years. She has integrated psychiatry into adult family practices, primary care health centers, and continues to practice in multiple local nursing home settings providing Geropsychiatry to nursing home residents. Her practice includes medication management as well as psychotherapy.
She has a strong internal medicine background including emergency medicine, intensive care medicine, and psychiatry. She is dual licensed, and board certified as an FNP as well as Psychiatric NP which puts her in a unique position to manage complex comorbid conditions. Kim is well versed in caring for complex mental conditions across the lifespan.
Her areas of interest include Geropsychiatry, bipolar/mood disorder, anxiety disorder, PTSD, OCD, and depression. Kim comes from a small-town farm in northern Rensselaer County.
