About
***Please note that Dr. Khine is currently not accepting new patients in order to serve her existing patients better*** My goal is to combine empathy with excellent clinical skills and up-to-date knowledge of current medical practice. Your privacy is highly valued, thus treatment is provided in a safe and confidential manner.
I specialize in treating adults with psychiatric conditions such as depressive, anxiety, bipolar, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorders. I completed a three-year fellowship at the National Institute of Mental Health looking at the relationship between mood and hormones. In particular, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, perimenopausal mood disorders, and post-partum depression.
Not all conditions require medications, and sometimes the risks (e.g., side effects) outweigh the benefits. In addition to medication management, I offer psychotherapy for those struggling with life stressors including marital difficulties, family stressors, the loss of a job or loved one, and prior or current trauma.
