About

I provide psychiatric care, including diagnosis, medication management, consultations, and supportive counseling. I am experienced in LGBTQ issues, life-stage transitions, and living with chronic disease. My goal is to work in partnership with my clients to maximize their potentials, increase their abilities/confidence in self-care, and experience their authentic selves. My interaction style ranges from casual, supportive, directive, or challenging depending on the client's needs. I maintain a collaborative and respectful approach, and establish a safe therapeutic environment with compassion, empathy, and significant dose of humor.
My current focus is caring for clients from late adolescence to late-middle adulthood with Depressive and Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, OCD, ADHD, Binge-Eating Disorder, Somatic Disorders, Sleep Disorders, Gender Dysphoria, and Trauma. I practice evidence/scientific-based care and collaborative care with therapists, PCPs, and specialists.
With 20+ years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, maintaining board certifications as a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and an Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP-BC), I bring an expanded focus to the evaluation and treatment of my clients that considers and integrates their unique social, psychological, and medical characteristics.
