I am so pleased to serve as a mental health nurse practitioner. I've been caring for mildly to acutely ill mental health clients from the ages of 5 to 90+ for 20 years as a psychiatric nurse and later as an NP, which affords me the ability to better anticipate the needs of clients. I strive to promote trust and build rapport with clients in a nonjudgmental and respectable environment. To be able to watch lives transform is like witnessing a miracle for me each time. I know this transformation not only impacts their lives in many aspects, but their loved ones as well.
As a nurse practitioner in Texas, I am able to diagnose and treat mental health illnesses under the supervision of a physician. I offer CBT and brief supportive therapy for anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, ADHD, etc. I provide virtual visits as well as in-person visits at a location that is handicapped accessible. I accommodate for late evening visits.
I believe patiently working together to find the right solution for each person based on their individual needs is the best approach.
