I'm Dr. Kathleen Voelsing and I am a psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner. I specialize in evidence-based treatment of bipolar, depressive, anxiety, and psychotic disorders for patients 16 years and up. I have substantial experience with individuals struggling with addiction, trauma issues, eating disorders, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. I am welcoming to LGBTQIA+ and all races and religions. Extensively trained in psychiatric medication management, I target maximal benefit with the minimal amount of medication. I also provide medication management for substance abuse (including buprenorphine).
I provide thoughtful, holistic care for mental health and addiction issues. I emphasize pharmacological and lifestyle interventions to support your journey. We will work TOGETHER to get you to your best self in a nonjudgmental way. I can prescribe buprenorphine (Suboxone, etc.) for the management of opioid addiction.
I have a heartfelt empathy for clients dealing with mental health and/or substance abuse problems. I have been in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction since 2010. I had my own mental health struggles. This translates to understanding your battle with any number of problems. These struggles are difficult but recovery from them IS possible!
