I am a board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who specializes in treating mental health challenges and symptom management for children, teens and adults on the Autism Spectrum, and those with ADHD, Anxiety and OCD. Ages 3 and up. I also have a background in the natural foods industry and can provide guidance with alternatives to pharmaceuticals as well. Being Non-Neurotypical myself with an ADHD diagnosis, I know about wrangling with mental health stigma. I want my clients to look forward to coming to see me and to feel better about who they are when they go
I work hard to make my office and visits a safe space where clients can feel accepted for who they are without the need to change their presentation, personalities or edit themselves. I honor my clients unique strengths and resilience in managing their mental health challenges by identifying those strengths and reinforcing them.
I was a crisis hospice nurse for 10 years prior to becoming a NP. I am very proud to be a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner. The nursing values of understanding clients as whole beings creatively responding to ever changing circumstances, along with a commitment to non judgement, socio-economic awareness and advocacy are ideals that I cherish.
