My goal is to help kids manage better in their lives- at home and at school, and I provide in person care in Michigan. I graduated from training in 2012, and did my Psychiatry residency at Loyola, and Child fellowship at Rush, both in Chicago. I believe it is important to not just work with the child (patient), but kids function in systems, making it critical to involve the family in their care. While meds can help, they are not always THE answer, but can be a piece of the puzzle. My goal is to help you figure things out and support you along the way.
I am a child and adolescent psychiatrist, with almost 15 years of experience in the inpatient, outpatient, partial hospital, and residential settings. The practice of evidence-based medicine is important to me, but I've also learned that it is just as important to understand the goals of a patient, and their parents.
My favorite quote from CS Lewis: "Children are not a distraction from important work. They are the most important work."
