Hello! My name is Karen Bendak, I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
with over a decade of experience working in the mental health field. I received my Diploma in Nursing at Aria Health School of Nursing. I then received my bachelor’s degree in nursing at Pennsylvania State University. After several years I advanced my career by earning my Master's of Science as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Wilkes University. I provide psychiatric evaluations, supportive therapy and medication management within a safe space to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship.
I provide treatment to adult and older adult populations. I am trained in all areas of psychiatry that includes Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome, Schizophrenia/Schizoaffective Disorder, and Personality Disorders. My goal is to help individuals remove obstacles so they can lead an optimal life.
My strength lies within patient care focus with the perceptive ability to listen and empathize. I feel as though none of us are immune to mental health issues and believe we all have been through periods of life where mentally we weren't our best selves. I am relatable and understanding of the challenges that we as individuals encounter on a daily basis.
