Hello, I'm Dr. Kaitlyn Hounshell, a board-certified adult psychiatrist and board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist. I am passionate about working within family systems and supporting individuals across all stages of life—from young children and adolescents to young people transitioning into adulthood and peripartum adults.
I especially enjoy working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals on the autism spectrum, and those living with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
I aim to look at the whole picture—not only considering therapy and medication when needed, but also recognizing the role of family dynamics, sleep, nutrition, social connectedness, and educational growth in overall mental health.
My goal is to partner with children, young adults, and families to create supportive systems to empower individuals and families.
Being a kid, teen, or parent in today’s world can feel overwhelming. Between school, social pressures, and life transitions, it’s easy to feel lost or alone.
