The greatest lesson that I have received in my role as a healthcare professional is that most human suffering is rooted in emotional and cognitive difficulty. These challenges often stem from pain or trauma, typically early in our development. The mind is an organ like any other in the body; as such, it needs care and healing from time to time! You may be considering therapy or medications because you are experiencing distress or dissatisfaction with some part of your life. I believe that I can help you to move through a challenging time by creating a safe place to talk about difficult situations. Therapy will be mutually designed to assst you to examing the cognitive, psychological and behavioral patterns that may interefere with your experiences of fulfillment in life. Sessions will be supportive and challenge you to examine your current life situation.

I offer Telehealth appointments to all my clients in the comfort of their homes. I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a doctorate degree in Nursing, who is experienced in practicing Psychiatric services in outpatient, inpatient, and tele-psychiatry. I offer weekday appointments from 9am-9pm as well as Saturdays from 9am-2pm.

I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with 15 years of experience in ICU nursing and mental health. I believe mental wellness is achieved through a balance of the mind and the body. My process is holistic, collaborative, and person-centered. My goal as your provider will be to help you reach your personal mental health goals through a combination of medication management and psychotherapy.

I’m not sure I have an “ideal” patient. Most of my career has been spent treating anyone who came to the hospital or was assigned to my care. If I reflect on some patient success stories, each case was collaborative, utilizing evidence-based medicine with patients that had a high degree of motivation to get better, either utilizing medication or therapy and to maintain their recovery through self-care.

I take a collaborative approach with my patients. I like to know what my patients’ goals are so I can tailor the treatment to help them achieve their goals as much as possible. Knowing what’s important to my patients helps me know what treatments to recommend or when to suggest a change to the treatment. I find that patients experience the most success if they are open to talking about their treatment options.
