Are you looking for someone who will take time to listen and understand you as an individual? I’m an experienced psychiatric nurse practitioner who is accepting new patients (19-64yo) for psychiatric medication management with or without psychotherapy. In addition to my NP training, I completed a two-year program in adult psychodynamic therapy at the Center for Psychoanalytic Studies in Houston, a therapy approach that encourages patients to understand the interplay of who they are, their personal history, and how it impacts their lives.
I’ve served as a nurse leader on multiple fronts. I was the founding president of Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurses of Texas. I'm presently on the board of Austin Psychoanalytic Society and on the policy committee of Texas Nurse Practitioners. In recognition of my efforts, I was honored with the prestigious 2020 Texas Nurse Practitioner Visionary Award.
I aim to utilize my past training and experiences to provide the best individualized treatment for you. Please note that I'm in a mostly fee-for-service practice. I'm currently accepting a limited amount of Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO patients and Seton Healthcare plan patients. Please check your policy to ensure you are properly covered.
