Hey there! I'm a board-certified psychiatrist with expertise in trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, and ADHD. I also consider myself a generalist and can treat a variety of other psychiatric conditions as well.
Minnesota has been my home for over 2 decades. I completed my undergraduate, medical school, and residency training at the University of Minnesota.
I have had extensive experience working as a clinician on the PTSD Team at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center, and more recently, as a tribal psychiatrist with White Earth Nation. I am also a Qualified Medical Evaluator, specializing in workers' compensation cases.
As a psychiatrist, I enjoy having open, collaborative discussions and using an evidenced-based approach to treatment. I use a combination of medication management and supportive therapy. I also draw upon elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Personally, I am a dad to two wonderful girls and a rambunctious Samoyed. I enjoy staying up to date with current events, technology, new movies, and shows. I also enjoy cooking and video games.
