I went into Mental Health care because I wanted to help people figure out why they weren't happy. Everyone wants to be heard, seen and understood. In order to really help someone you have to understand who they are, where they have been and where they are trying to go.

I worked in Family Practice before going back to school to specialize in psychiatry. There are many medical conditions that impact mental health. I look at the whole person and not just the mental health symptoms.
