I have had an outpatient practice for 39 years. During my residency at Michael Reese Hospital, I taught a psychiatry course to medical students. After graduation I worked at Illinois Masonic Hospital in a women's health clinic addressing the emotional needs of women. I also worked at both a nursing home and assisted living facility doing both talk therapy and medication. I enjoy working with both young and older adults from varied backgrounds. I think I am very good at making people comfortable, as many patients come in afraid of therapy. The therapy and medication is decided upon
depending on an individual's problems, past experiences, and comfort level. My therapy is very interactive. I see individual patients for therapy and medication as indicated. I choose not to prescribe for another therapist. My goals are to firstly make patients comfortable. Then I help patients cope. I work together with my patients to
change patterns of thinking and behavior that sabotage their overall wellness. In 39 years I have had experience with many kinds of problems. My office is in downtown Chicago and easily accessible by public transportation. I am currently accepting new patients.
