I am interested in the thoughtful integration of medication, psychotherapy, and mind-body practices in achieving emotional well-being. My approach is practical and ranges from concrete problem solving to deep emotional healing. I can often provide comprehensive mental health care and am skilled in prioritizing among multiple concerns. I can work with a wide range of issues such as attentional problems, mood disorders, relationship issues, developmental trauma, and life structure, including sleep, work, and daily routines. As a medically trained psychiatrist with extensive psychotherapy experience, I understand how biology, medical conditions, personality, relationships, and daily life interact. This broader perspective helps guide decisions about medication, psychotherapy, or both.
I completed medical school at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and psychiatric residency at Thomas Jefferson University. My postgraduate training has been in experiential therapies. Most recently, I have trained in Attachment-Focused EMDR, an approach that is well-suited for rapid processing of early family traumas and developmental wounds.
