My name is Joshua Fletcher, and I have worked in mental health for ten years first as a nurse and then as a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. It is truly the most fulfilling work I have ever done, and I enjoy listening to people's stories and developing a plan of treatment specific to their needs. Each one of us truly is an individual and there are no simple solutions that work for everyone. Creativity, active listening, and truly having an interest in people are important parts of providing mental health and I want to respect each individual’s personal journey.
My experience includes working with Major Depression Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, OCD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, personality disorders, and substance abuse. I have experience working with adolescents/teenagers from 13 years old to adults 65 years old and enjoy working with individuals of all ages.
Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy home renovations, which I'm constantly doing at my house. I also enjoy the many outdoor activities available in Utah including camping, mountain biking, rafting, canyoneering, rock climbing, and scuba diving.
