I am a Johns Hopkins trained psychiatrist in private practice. My office is in north Baltimore, and I'm also available by telehealth to those located in Virginia. I primarily identify as a psychotherapist who also has expertise in psychopharmacology. I treat a variety of conditions, such as depression and anxiety, and I have special interests in ADHD and addictions. All patients receive a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation. My approach starts with knowing the whole person and understanding their affliction within the context of their life story, dispositions and behaviors.
I see individual adults, ages 18 and older, for psychotherapy and/or medical management. My psychotherapy approach is tailored to the individual. I believe in prescribing psychotherapy based on the presenting person and problem, rather than attempting to fit everyone into the same therapeutic modality.
My approach to psychopharmacology is conservative and evidence based. I believe in using the fewest medications and the lowest doses necessary to achieve the desired result. I'm also happy to coordinate with other psychotherapists as part of a collaborative team.
