Hello, and thank you for considering me as a provider! I worked as a primary care provider for nearly a decade before obtaining my psychiatric training at Johns Hopkins University. While living in Nashville, TN, I served a diverse patient population, mainly providing care to the Latino community as a fluent Spanish speaker. My growing family returned to Michigan in 2021 so our children could be raised around their Anishinaabe culture. I am passionate about providing high-quality mental health care to underserved populations.
I strive to ensure people feel heard and empower them to recognize they already possess the greatest healing power within them. We will discuss root issues causing symptoms and collectively develop a plan to address them.
I carefully listen to patients and follow their lead in terms of the pace we address root issues. I also educate patients as much as possible to empower them with the knowledge they need to make the best decisions about their health. Most importantly, I provide hope that a person's condition/situation will change.
