Dr. Mouallem is a board-certified psychiatrist and psychotherapist specialized in evaluating and treating individuals with a wide range of issues, including depression and anxiety, relationship and career concerns, self-esteem problems, grief and loss. He has a special interest and focus in issues of early adulthood, reproductive psychiatry, and life transitions. After an extensive evaluation, you will work together to establish a plan of care that may include talk therapy, medication, or both when indicated. Dr. Mouallem completed his undergraduate work with multiple honors at Yale University. He also has a J.D. from Harvard Law School. After completing postbac premedical studies at Columbia University, he received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, where he was inducted into the national Gold Humanism Honor Society.
Dr. Mouallem completed his residency in psychiatry at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he is now a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and an Attending Psychiatrist in the hospital. He has also received advanced psychotherapy training at Columbia University's Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research.
