Mental health is a loaded term nowadays that appears to address a whole host of factors that make up a person. My style and approach as a physician is to address the entirety of the person, trying to understand how to best help them solve the core issues causing the dysfunction.
I am a Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist. I have worked in a variety of different settings. I am comfortable prescribing medications to address symptoms caused by mental illnesses. I am also comfortable seeing older adolescents 16 and older. I am comfortable providing evaluations, consultations and second opinions.
My training includes a BA from Rutgers University in Philosophy, Medical School at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School and residency training at Westchester Medical Center where I served as the Chief Research resident in my final year.
