I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with multiple years of experience working in Psychiatric and Critical Care Nursing. I have experience treating various Psychiatric disorders and enjoy working with people in all life stages.
In conjunction with medication treatment, I believe in a holistic approach to treating patients and incorporate Positive Psychology to achieve a maximum state of well-being when designing a treatment plan. Along those lines, I employ motivational interviewing with my patients to facilitate the achievement of small goals, which add up to big accomplishments.
I am aware of the continued stigma of mental illness in society and strive to educate people that mental illness can happen to anyone. I find it particularly rewarding when I see my patients’ symptoms improve and are passionate about playing a crucial role in that progress.
