My name is Jose Cruz, and I am a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. My approach to mental health support is holistic and client-centered. While my primary focus is medication management, therapeutic approaches are woven into sessions with clients, such as supportive therapy, solution-focused therapy, and behavioral activation. I enjoy working with clients of all backgrounds. I see several clients who are a part of the LGBTQ+ community. I can help you manage a variety of mental health needs, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and PTSD.
I aim to be a warm, friendly, and supportive provider. I like to know more about the clients I work with to better understand the struggles they face in their day-to-day lives, as well as where they find support and joy.
Our first appointment together will be a lot of information gathering so I can get a better idea of your treatment history, what has and hasn’t worked, and what you would like from a treatment provider. Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable and be reassured that I won’t judge you for anything you feel open to sharing with me.
