My name is Deon and I’m YOUR Mental Health Nurse Practitioner-practicing in the Hartford County and NYC. I try to find +ve meaning in everyday's life events, even amidst chaos and stress. I utilize mindfulness and spirituality and integrating it with psychiatric treatments ,incl. complementary approaches to helping people manage depression, anxiety, PTSD and stress, and to live happier and more fulfilling lives. I focus on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of mental, emotional and behavioral disorders. That is by assessing both psychosocial and physiological aspects of psychiatric problems. These problems can be anxiety/panic attack, feelings of depression, PTSD, insomnia, OCD that causes problems with daily functioning, or feeling out being out of control.
My approach to caring for clients is, with compassion as its vital to reduce fears, boosts confidence, and to help clients find their inner strength. In my practice you will feel safe, accepted, understood and supported, so that you are confident that you have someone to turn to. I work in alliance with clients, it has positive impact on their mental health.
