Dr. John Young is a board-certified psychiatrist with over 30 years of experience in patient care. Raised in the Pittsburgh area, he earned his BA from Washington and Jefferson College before completing his medical school education and psychiatry residency at West Virginia University (WVU). After finishing his residency, he received a faculty appointment at WVU, where he played a pivotal role in training and supervising medical students and psychiatry residents, ultimately earning the title of Associate Professor.
In 2014, he relocated to Florida, where he practiced inpatient psychiatry in New Port Richey until December 2023. Dr. Young’s clinical interests encompass cognitive disorders, traumatic brain injury, and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). His extensive experience and dedication to the field reflect a deep commitment to advancing psychiatric care.
