Welcome to Collaborative Mental Health. I'm John Brion, PhD, PMHNP, and I am currently welcoming new patients. I work with people age 12 and up for a range of psychiatric and mental health problems, including the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of ADHD in Adults and Children, Mood disorders like anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder, Addiction to substances like drugs and alcohol as well as behaviors like sex and gambling. I am licensed/certified to prescribe all psychiatric medications and I also provide brief, solution focused psychotherapy.
As a Psychiatric nurse practitioner, I approach care holistically rather than from an illness focus. I take time to listen to you to learn about who you are as a person. My goal is to help you find the strengths you already have (yes, you do!) and to help you grow through your problems, with or without the help of medication.
I know that asking for help takes a lot of strength and courage, but asking for help is the first step in healing. Whatever problems you have, know that there is a solution.
